One of the most interesting, and compelling elements of the circular economy is the fact that is needs all of us to function properly. From governments to corporations, brands to individuals, we are all play out part. And almost like an interconnected spiders web, many factors effect one another, across disciplines and industries. This fortunately means that many who are involved in creating a circular economy are open to collaboration and knowledge sharing – with an understanding that this will need a collective (and global) effort to spread across the world at scale. This is why events such as Circularity 21, which is run by US based GreenBiz, and was held online between 15th – 17th June 2021 are so important.
The subtitle of this years Circularity 21 was ‘accelerating the circular economy’ which we think was an excellently chosen theme. In many cases we know what we need to do, we just need to get going at a faster pace.
This years event was one of the largest yet, with thousands of attendees logging on to the three-day conference to hear presentations and attend workshops from Amazon, Apple, Kering, The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Google, Litterati and many, many more.
This was a ticketed event, and whilst many of the smaller sessions were not recorded, if you missed the event, you have not missed out as the keynote presentations have just been released for all to watch. Find them all here and watch the introduction to the event below. Let us know your thoughts!
